“When does you event season begin and end?”
Because Athena is predominantly an outdoor venue our event season begins in mid-May and goes through mid-October.
“Do you have any accommodations for events during your off season?”
As of Fall 2020 we have started booking our estate house for overnight stay and events under 25 people.
“What is the capacity of your venue?”
250 seated guests
“Do I need to schedule a tour or can I just stop by?”
We would love to meet you and show you around our favorite place. We kindly request that you schedule a tour to see the grounds in person.
“Are there overnight accommodations nearby?”
We’re excited to provide on-site housing with our new estate house for an additional price. Further overnight accommodations are minutes away - Athena Farm & Vineyard is located off of Dry Hill Road in Beckley, West Virginia - less than 2 miles away from I64/I77 where there are many hotels to choose from.
“Do you provide plates, cups, silverware, etc.?”
Athena Farm & Vineyard does provide complimentary basic dinnerware with our catering menus. We also offer decorative dinnerware for an additional fee.
“If we plan to have our ceremony offsite and only plan to have our reception at Athena Farm and Vineyard. Does the fee change?”
Because we only host one event per day, our fee structure remains the same whether you hold your ceremony, reception, or both.
“What is considered a weekend wedding?”
Friday and Saturday are both considered weekend wedding days. We no longer host Sunday weddings.
“How do I get pricing for a wedding?”

“Do you have an indoor area if there happens to be inclement weather?”
In the case of inclement weather a 40 x 60 white tent (with twinkle lights) that seats up to 250 people is available with all Athena wedding packages.
“Do you allow alcohol at weddings?”
We ask that alcohol is limited to beer or wine with the meal and champagne for toasting if you plan on serving alcohol.”
“Does Athena offer alcohol for weddings?”
We do not provide any alcohol for weddings - any/all alcohol should be purchased by the bride and groom.
“How much does an average wedding cost?”
The cost of an average wedding is dependent on the day of the wedding. An average weekend wedding ranges between $6,900 - $7,900.
“What type of catering options are available?”
Athena offers exclusive catering with pre-made and customizable catering menus.
“Is there a cost of saving a wedding date?”
There is a $500 non-refundable security deposit to officially set your wedding date.
“How do we reserve our wedding date?”
Contact either Candace Holloway or Karen Atha when you’re ready to secure your wedding date. Your wedding date will be held for up to 10 days until the security deposit has been received.”
“Does Athena host events other than weddings?”
